Born in St. Petersburg in 1988, Maria started playing the piano at the age of 7 with Mr. Bistrov.
With the age of 10, her family immigrated to Jerusalem where she has been studying the piano with Luiza Yoffe at Hasadna conservatory. Graduating at 2009, she then proceeded academic studies at the HMTM Hanover under the guidance of Professor Gerrit Zitterbart.
Maria is a second prize winner of the “Campillos International Piano Competition” (Spain, 2010) , the “Neue Sterne Klavierwettbewerb” (Germany 2012) and the Israeli National Piano Competition (Ashdod, Israel 2006), a third prize and a special modern music prize winner at the CIPCE International Piano Competition (Spain 2011) and a special Mozart Prize at the “Pnina Salzman” Piano competition (Israel 2006).
Maria has performed in chamber concerts, festivals and recitals in Israel, France, Spain, UK, USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Belgium and Russia. She performed on the Israeli Educational TV and her recordings can be heard on the Israeli classical music radio channel „Kol Hamuzika“.
In the last years she was guided by renown musicians, such as Murray Perahia, Nikolai Petrov, Oksana Yablonskaya and Norma Fisher.
During 2006-2008 Maria served as an „outstanding musician“ in the IDF.
During 2004- 2009 she was supported by the America Israel Cultural Foundation.
